My 2020 Mustang EcoBoost has been feeling noticeably less punchy over the past few weeks, the acceleration just isn't what it used to be and the turbo whistle sounds different, kind of wheezy rather than the clean whoosh it used to make when spooling up. No check engine light yet and the car drives fine under normal conditions, but when I really put my foot down it feels like the boost isn't building properly and the power delivery is uneven. Could be a boost leak from a loose hose clamp or a failing diverter valve, both of which I've read are common on these engines especially in our climate where rubber and plastic components degrade faster from the heat. I'm looking for an Al Quoz Mustang affordable repair shop that knows these EcoBoost engines specifically, not just a general performance shop that mostly deals with the V8s and might not be as familiar with the turbocharged four cylinder quirks. Dynostar seems to have experience across the Mustang range and they mention boost leak testing which is probably the first thing that needs to be done. Anyone with an EcoBoost Mustang dealt with a gradual loss of power that didn't trigger any codes, was it something simple like a loose intercooler pipe or did it turn out to be the wastegate actuator needing adjustment or replacement? Also curious if these cars benefit from an aftermarket blow off valve or if the stock diverter valve is sufficient for a daily driven car that isn't modified. Just want my car to feel quick again without spending a fortune on unnecessary parts.
